Rat Genetics and Varieties

One of the things that I find fascinating about rats is how genetics and varieties work. It is a hyperfixation of mine. I hope that this section of the website can help you understand more about how they work!

Currently, I am training to become a varieties judge on the National Fancy Rat Society's judges training scheme. This means that I am learning constantly about varieties and their genetics (alongside what makes good type). I am excited to learn more and be able to share that too.
